Bludau Fabrication History
Bludau Fab was established in the fall of 1980 by two brothers, Tony and Frank, Jr. Shortly thereafter, their brother, Stephen, joined the company.
Bludau Fab began with the miscellaneous fabrication of specialty items for oil fields and skids, cattle guards, and pumping units for farming and ranching operations in South Texas.
In 1982, the oil field business collapsed and Bludau Fab pivoted to providing specially fabricated steel for new construction. The Company successfully transitioned to providing stairs and rails to many hotels throughout Texas and Alabama. The business soon progressed to landing significant contracts and producing over 65,000 tons over the next 15 years.
Bludau also expanded into structural fabrication for commercial, private, and education endeavors. The Company is now a major supplier to the school construction community and has a significant private sector base of business.
Bludau Fab is an AISC certified production facility.
